About Thomas
Thomas Harter is the CEO and Owner of Sendsei Advisors, a technology advisory and sourcing firm helping organizations make smarter decisions across their critical back-office operations. Leveraging access to over 500 trusted vendors, Sendsei supports clients in optimizing services spanning print and mail, presort, payment processing, network, telephony, mobility, software, cloud, security, and energy. Under Thomas's leadership, Sendsei focuses on delivering measurable value through technology evaluation, cost reduction, contract negotiation, and sustainable efficiency initiatives.
With more than three decades of executive experience leading high-growth organizations, Thomas has built a reputation as a transformative leader who combines operational discipline with strategic innovation. Before founding Sendsei, Thomas served as President of Optus, Inc., where he directed growth strategy, business development, and marketing efforts to expand customer acquisition and strengthen the company's commercial strategy.
Earlier, as Chief Operating Officer at OSG, Thomas oversaw a $635M business and led 1,800 employees through a major operational transformation—achieving multimillion-dollar cost savings, consolidating facilities, and executing process improvements that elevated service delivery and profitability. Prior to that, he served as President of Microdynamics Group and Executive Vice President of OSG Financial and Business Services, where he managed $100M in P&L responsibility, drove acquisition integration across eight organizations, and implemented growth strategies that outperformed revenue and EBITDA goals by more than 30%.
Thomas's career at Microdynamics Group spanned nearly two decades in roles including CEO, President, and Chief Revenue Officer, during which he led the company through consistent, double-digit growth, substantial cost reductions, cultural transformation, and multiple successful transactions — including the sale of business units to Pitney Bowes and Aquiline Capital Partners.
He also contributes to future business leaders as a mentor for the University of Iowa's John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center, advising aspiring entrepreneurs and students on leadership, strategy, and business development.
A graduate of the University of Iowa in Marketing and Entrepreneurship, Thomas brings a balance of strategic insight, operational acumen, and hands-on experience to every engagement — helping organizations navigate complex change, unlock cost efficiencies, and capture new opportunities in today's evolving technology and business landscape.
